aquatop heater
Have anyone used or test out the aquatop heater?
I would like some feedback from a hobbyer point of view rather then the marker point of view. |

I bought two of these on separate occasions. I don't use them in my tanks anymore. They both seemed to work fine for a while. Then, suddenly, they would shoot up to 90+ deg. I tried re-setting them. But, the same thing happened again. I only use them now to heat water for a water change in a separate container. I have been meaning to try the, more expensive, digital ones to see if they are any better. My experience was with the Ebo-Jager style with the dial on the top. Too bad...you can't beat the price. I guess you get what you pay for. Just an expensive gamble imo.

I have the digital ones in all my tanks. I love the, and they work well. Had one issue that amazon took care of aqua top customer service is horrible and they don't stand behind their product well but mine are working great

I use a eheim jager in my shrimp tank and I use a DIY temperature controller with a little aqueon heater in my pico reef. From my experience and also the experience of other folks on here eheim jager heaters are the way to go.
