Plant ID help!
What is this mystery floating plant that I have in my tanks?
It grows PROLIFICALLY with light and does a great job of soaking up / removing that protein/oil scum that builds up on the top of my tanks. If light output is high, they stay small (leaves stay ~2mm), but under moderate to low light they grow rather big (leaves up to ~6mm). The plants in the picture below have about 2mm size leaves. Thanks! |

Duckweed. If you want to get rid of it, just use a ruler and scrape it to one side, from there you can remove it.
