Setting up a new aquarium today with Flourite Original. Can somebody tell me if it is ok to grow Dwarf Crypt and Pygmy Chain Sword emmersed for a week or two until the roots take hold?

Dwarf Crypt?

They'll be fine as long as you mist a few times a day and keep the tank covered.

Though, you're likely going to experience Crypt melt.

Thanks for the heads up. Crypts are quick to melt. Hopefully it will come back quickly, but I'm concerned because this tank is not established...

The plants will be fine. In fact, they prefer ammonia over nitrates anyway (when they are submersed). Of course, when emersed, there is likely not going to be any ammonia to worry about, however.

search "dry start method" or "dsm" on this site as well as tom barr's for specifics.
