Looking for 2 mirrored small filters... Recommendations???
Okay, I have a project that I am working on and I need/want 2 small HOB filters. I would prefer to have them mirror images of each other (pickup on the left on one and right on the other). They also need to have similar specs and can't be more than 6 inches wide (they are going on a smaller tank). Oh, and the closer to 6 inches the better (as in 5.75 inches is better than 4.5 inches).
So, any recommendations? From looking up pics online, I have found that the Aquaclear, Aqueon, Azoo, Finnex, Fluval, and a few Tetra (whisper ex series) filters have the intake on the left. The Aqua-tech, Marina, Odyssea, and most Tetra (like the whisper pf series) filters appear to have the pickup on the right. Last edited by im2smart4u; 02-07-2013 at 05:22 AM.. Reason: sp |

Why not go with a small canister? Intake and out flow on either side for the same style symmetry? Lots of hobs can pull some juice...
Planning on planting the hobs or something?

I run two aquaclears on my 55 gal and they do a great job. I've got a fluval 306 but i don't like the current the canister creates. Neither do my hachet's or angels. I highly reccomend the aquaclear HOB they're easy to maintain and can change your media to your needs
