Suspending a Aqualife 48" 6x54w T5HO

I love the light but for the moment it is sitting on top of my tank with the 3 inch leg risers it comes with. At first wasnt a huge deal until i quickly tired of sliding it forward so my glass lid could be opened. Every time I want to tinker with the tank off goes the light....which means basically working blind, so I want to suspend it. Right now its 27 3/4 inches off the substrate. how far up could I suspend this light off the top of the tank and not lose the high light in pars I currently have? tank is 48"x 18.5"x 24" roughly its like a really deep 75 gallon all glass.

If that is an Aquaticlife light fixture you can probably hang it 20 inches or more above the top of the tank and still have high light. Six T5HO bulbs give a lot of light.

Aquatic life's hanging kit is adjustable so you could tune height without making any hardware mods to do so.
