55g NPT (my first)

I finally got everything together and got my first NPT 55g tank planted today.

Step 1 - Fill with Miracle Gro Organic Soil

Step 2 - Place hardscape

Step 3 - Add play sand and some water

Step 4 - Plants then sit back and enjoy

its a 48" T8 shoplight from Home Depot. $45 canadian

Amazing start! Get a journal going so more people can see it! The hardscape is really nice

Beautiful! I love the hardscape. What sort of breathing things are going to be so lucky as to call this place home? And what is your photo period? That fixture sitting right on the tank seems like a lot of light.

Thanks!!! Right now I have about 30 red cherry shrimp and 6 amano shrimp calling that place home along with some ramshorn snails. I am planning on stocking it with about 15-25 female betta in the next month or so.

That light puts out a medium level light but on the low side of medium. I have it on for 10hrs
