Will this Lighting Setup be Sufficient for Emersed HC in Aquasoil?
I have 2 10 gallon tanks. One is my current tank, and I am upgrading to aquasoil amazonia and purchased a second identical one ($13 at petco) so that I could cycle the aquasoil and grow HC emersed while doing so.
My lighting available right now is: 6500k 13W CFL in flood lamp 2 24" T8 17w 7800k Finnex Fugeray 20" (in use currently) In a newly planted aquasoil amazonia 10 gallon (20x10x12) tank growing HC emersed, could I use both T8's and the CFL to provide enough light for the HC? What if I use that in addition to placing the tank in a heavily sunlit room? If not, I will simply use the Fugeray 20" but I really do not want to do that because it is already set up and I want to minimize the disruption to flora and fauna, and it would require a lot more work. My initial research on par values makes me think this is k, but I'd like to have some confirmation if possible. Thanks! |

You should be fine not using the Fugeray as you mentioned. HC grown via DSM is really not that demanding.
