Marineland Bio-Wheel LED 10 Gallon Tank

Does anyone have experience with this kit? Is the LED light included in there sufficient to keep a planted tank?

Seriously? I have one and I have wisteria and pennywart in it and it just barely survives. I dont' see any growth at all over the last several months. I'd say stay away.

Default Good for starting out...

I can grow water sprite, java fern and moss in this tank. I like these as shrimp tanks... They would probably be good hospital tanks, too.
If you went to the hardware store and picked up cheap shop lights, you can grow anything you want... Effort in = Output

For the record, Java Fern and Java Moss will grow in a well-lit room with no lighting over a Betta bowl, so I don't think saying that you can grow those counts as growing plants.

The light in that tank is this one, and it only has a few PAR (less than 5) at 12" substrate depth. The light is designed for viewing fish, not growing plants.

What kind of plants are you trying to grow? I have one of these and I don't trust it with anything other than moss, Anubias, and java fern.
