Most of them lost their color so I think they weren't too happy back there. I move the tank to my office today from home. Seems like everyone survived the 30 minute car trip. At the same time I rescued the ones in the filter compartment moved back to the main tank

I think they climbed through the filter outlet... I had the tube disconnected for awhile to reduce the flow in the tank.

It's pretty much a no-maintenance tank for me, so I have been hesitant to introduce any extra work by planting it more heavily =)

you've come a loooong way for 6 months.

I've never graduated from the less than 2.5 gallon noob club :P In fact My own tanks have gotten progressively smaller...

Yea, I meant more maintenance in the sense that I need to trim/cull/etc.

Looked in the tank today (had to be at work...) and counted THREE berried RCS females

Need to start reading about the hatchlings and what, if anything, I need to do to support them

Came into work this morning and found some baby shrimps in the tank!

I only counted 2 or 3 of them, but they're pretty hard to locate.

I also saw some strange worm-like things crawling around on the glass... any ideas what they could be? My Nerites have been laying eggs all over - I wonder if they hatched? There aren't many insects up here on the 8th floor of my building, but maybe something got into the water?
