Just a 3 week update pic..started dosing ADA step 1 and FloraPride. Lilaeopsis still growing really slow

Just did a small rescape and replaced the lilaeopsis with echinodorus tenellus.

The e. tenellus is really growing great, runners everywhere.

Now I know why the Vallisneria Spiralis was labeled Leopard. The original leaves from the LFS were just green, but all the new leaves that has grown has that nice brownish red pattern in them.

Just looked it up and yes that's the one. Wow didn't know that they could live up to 18yrs.

Everything is growing wonderfully!

Got a small BBA problem on the e. tenellus, so I picked up 3 SAEs from the LFS. Think I might be just a bit overstocked now. Also have a bunch of what I think is snail eggs on the glass.

BBA is almost gone, either the SAEs took care of it or my tank is finally balancing out. I'm also glad that the Vallisneria Spiralis grows really fast too, my turtle loves the stuff. I might remove the hygro so I can grow more it.

I reduced the lighting, and things are still growing crazy. At least the black algae on the Anubis seems to be getting a bit better.

Did more trimming today. My turtle will be happy.

WOW,

Your tank has really grown in well!!! I really like the selection of plants too! I am about ready to get my 40B on its stand, and it is about time since it has been sitting on the kitchen floor for over a year by now! I am going to be trying to run it low tech, so I will be watching yours for inspiration!

I'm running a Kotobuki SV9000 canister filter. Its a Japanese canister filter rated for about a 65g tank size. The intake is hiding behind the Vals on the left and the spray bar is an inch or so below the water line in the back.
