Does anyone know where I can find flame moss somewhere near San Jose +/- 30 miles?

King aquarium has some. Last time I saw it there it was in kind of bad condition though and about 7$ for less than a golf ball size. Best bet is to check Craigslist often.

I just ordered some on ebay from a seller in Taiwan. We'll see what condition it arrives at.

My bro ordered some on eBay a six months ago and it cost him
Around $5 and all he got was two black river rocks about a
inch and a half square with a little bit of flame moss attached with a net.
I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were u.

I got the moss over the weekend and they came in really green and healthy! phew!!

Importing plants to the United States without proper phytosanitary and customs documentation is illegal.
