Shirakura CA+

Hi,
I just recived this today and I'm a little confuse on how to use this. Do I only use this with RO water? Is this supposed to raise the TDS? How much would I add to a 20 gallon tank ?

One ml per gallon will raise GH 4.7

Use to reconstitute soft or RO water.

it says in chinese that
you need to put in a cup for 30 mins for the powder to dissolve
every 50 liter water you add 1 to 2 scoops every 2 ~ 3 days add once
and then you can add it into the food as well

May I know what GH kit you'r using?

api, but the instructions are from the manufacturer.

Every time i've used 5ml per 5 gallon (as per my normal water change routine), I get gh 5

I mean how you get 4.7GH?

Some sort of calculations based off Shirakura I'm guessing

I don't, it tests as 5 on my GH test, the 4.7 is from the manufacturers directions.

Shirakura states 1 drop per liter raises the GH by 1, if you do the math at 20 drops per ml, and 3.7 liters per gallon, it's 4.7 GH per ML.

Anything you add to the water will raise TDS.

I've used Skirakura CA+ to adjust my tap from 3GH @ 40TDS to 4GH @ 80 TDS but YMMV... my tank TDS normally ends up being around 135tds post WC after adding BW Shield, Vital & calcium. I do notice that the Fluval Mineral Supplement raises TDS more than Shirakura CA+ but the difference is like 15ppm give or take a few points.

+1 IME 5 drops per liter gives a gH of 5 roughly.
