Plants position help needed

I'm making a sand slope and was wondering which of these should go to the background (higher end of the slope) and which in the midground?

Limnophila hippuroides
Ludwigia 'Cuba'

"Six in one, half a dozen in the other" as my Grandma always said. Personal preference IMO. Both are gorgeous looking plants.

How about height wise? Are they both grow tall?

Limno will branch out... It would best be used in the back IMO..if you wanna use the Cuba as mid ground you'll need to trim it and replant the top

My vote is for Limno, but Cuba is great as well.

Ludwigia 'Cuba' will easily grow 24"++ without losing lower leaves. A good specimen will reach 4-5" in diameter just for the main stems.

Limnophila hippuroides tends to lose bottom leaves as it grows up. It also tends to grow left and right and any which way except straight up.

In one tank I use Limno as the background plant (it's cheap, and to me, has a 'softer' look) with 3-5 Cuba as accent plants in the middle. If you have decent light+co2 count on trimming Cuba every couple of weeks.
