marineland led

I have a extra marineland led light (the same one as in pic). I have a fluval 12 edge tank with out the top glass on it. I do live plant in other tanks and they all have t-5 coralife 6700k day light bulbs and do fine. Short on cash and want to know what other people think of this light? I really do not believe in leds yet. Please help me out on this one. Here is the other tread that I have made to look at tank.

I also have a fluval cfl but I think its two small for that size tank and might buy another one.

^ I got the tank, it does better with the top off (which I used to do), I notice that some LED fixtures would barely reach the bottom. My dwarf hair grass were struggling while taller plants did great.

Maybe go for a stronger light fixture made for taller tanks? I saw some Marine lights and they don't look very bright compare to the stock Fluval Edge 42 leds.

LEDs work great, but that is a really low powered LED light. On a tank as tall as a 12g Edge, it probably won't help much.

A 16" Finnex Ray II DS would probably get you into high light or a Finnex Fugeray or Marineland Doublebright would probably give you low/medium light

I have the same Marineland single bright in the picture.

I have it over a lightly planted 10 gallon. I'd say it's enough just to keep plants alive. Very little growth.

This is what came with my 10g kit. It is the bare minimum to keep low light plants alive, but I get verrrry little growth.
