Let's talk worst case scenarios: Leaks, and how to prepare for/prevent them

I had a leak and use the rock putty it will cure under water so I found the leak jammed a wad of that into the area and presto the water stopped pouring out....bought me enough time to get a second tank. I wouldn't count that as a never fail method but each case is different i had a small area leak.....on a corner seam little bigger than a pin....If you have a seam open up ie catostrophic fail, a 55 gallon rubbermade trash can only used for fish water and a syphon with a squeeze bulb can get as much water out of the tank to save for fish in need of a new home. I have had both happen....both on tanks I was given because people got tired of them

The worst case scenario would be an electrical fire. Make sure you use a socket with GFCI.
