TDS off the chart in a booming breeding tank?

It has been a while, so today I decided to check my water parameter of my old well establish tank that is booming with babies every week. I notice my TDS 798 in my breeding tank and comparing to my new tank which is TDS 326.

Oddly enough most shrimp survive well from TDS 80-200. Obviously mine is way off the chart but how can it explain my booming shrimp communities?

Currently have CRS, Tiger, Yellow. Yellow and Tiger breed strong, CRS isn't breeding so that's why I have a new tank for them.

I would still reduce your tds, but take your time and do it slowly.

Yeah I haven't change my carbon for a while going to change it weekly now to see how much tds will go down.

Never heard of carbon lowering TDS, would love to know more.
