ADA Malaya PH question

I set up my new tank with ADA Malaya Aquasoil and have since heard that it lowers the PH to around 5.5

Has anyone had experience with this and is 5.5 a bit too low for CRS?

I think you'll want to start by reading in the Shrimp sub-forum. Start with the Sticky and read everything linked therein. You'll find answers to all kinds of questions there.

In short, that's not too low for Crystal Red Shrimp. But there's much more involved in shrimp keeping than pH.
