Recommendations Requested: Lighting for 40 Breeder

I need lighting for my aquarium, but don't know what to look for. It is planted and I have a borrowed light temporarily.

So far, I have blue hygros, bananas, red melon swords, and other moderate light plants. The tank is 36 Long x 18 Deep x 16 Tall.

I appreciate any recommendations.

Since this is the low tech forum, I assume you don't use CO2, and want to use low light. Is that true?

I don't use CO2... I'm low tech enough to not know how or why to use it.

Shop light hung over the tank? Lots of light splash, but that's not always bad.otherwise, clamped on dome reflectors with spiral fluorescent bulbs.

What's your budget like? More than likely you will have to hang lights because the 40b is only 16 inches tall.

My budget is to keep it as inexpensive as possible without completely ruining the plants or aesthetics of the aquarium. I can't hang lights because its under a vaulted ceiling and it really wouldn't look right.

I know that's not really helpful, I just don't know what to expect. My original thought was to keep it under $200, though.

Maybe two corallife t5NO's space apart a little? Low tech 40b's can be tricky
