Filter Question

Whats the quietest cansiter fliter out there? I am contemplating something outside of a standard HOB in the interest of a cleaner look and less noise if I can help it

Most canisters are quiet really, eheims are worth every penny. Any local shops around that run any? Sometimes a good way to hear a established one going.

I have had both fluval and eheim canisters, and I recommend eheim. You get what you pay for here.

I have an eheim ecco 2232 for my 20 gallon long. Itstmy first canister filter and i wouldnt want anything else. It's super easy to prime, which seems to be a problem with other canister filters. The flow has slowed down, but cleaning it usually fixes that.

I would probably go with the 2213. The 2215 or 17 are probably too much flow.

My 2217 was fine on a 29G with the flow partially reduced by the connector valve.

I checked for the 2213 and it shows it as the 'classic" model. Is this correct? Amazon has a decent price on it

Yes, that's right, I think it's called the eheim classic 250.

I'd also recommend the 2213 Classic for a 20 gallon tank.
