Durso worked.
I didnt use the 1-1/4 pipe as was recommended. Flow rates are low enough apparently to use straight 1 inch down. Strainer was used as well with sponge
I like it

there it happened. and i updated my journal with it too

if u build one. take the advice and build it with 1-1/4 dia pipe... i can't get my overflow box level exactly where i want it, i believe the size is the issue.
i either get full siphon, or water level gets too high if the hole is too big in the top

while perusing the internet i find this
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/SystemPIX...Oneinchart.htm

basically stating a 1 inch drain line will be noisy because it cannot effectively handle more than 300 gph without going full siphon

this explains why my 75 gallon is noisy and my 29 isn't.. both have 1 inch drain lines, just different bulkhead sizes

im wondering if a CS90 overflow box will support a 1.5 inch bulkhead or if i just need to buy the cs150?
