Planted Tank Obsessed

Low light, k+fe+co2
Hello again,
I have a 5.5g low light shrimp tank with java moss, java fern, banana plants, and a couple swords (I know), and I am dosing with Excell as of now. I just picked up a bottle of API Leaf Zone. It only contains potassium and iron. Would I have any benefit from this? It says 5ml per 10 gallons. Seem about right? Also...I have been pipetting 1ml of excell into the filter output every day. Should I be pipetting it directly to the specific plants or is this ok? |

With a low light aquarium, I am not sure if you will see any benefit from adding API Leaf Zone, not to mention that many commercially available fertilizers are very dilute to begin with.
As for your Excel, the way you are dosing it currently is fine.
