Have you looking into the Finnex ones?
Or how much do you want to spend? -Sent from my Samsung Note, a "Phablet"

If you want something afforable and really don't care what you have extra in your tank. I would receommend getting heaters from Via Aqua. They are cheap and working as good as the expensive ones. I have one for my discus grow-out tank and have no prob whatsoever so far. Happy planted tank

I'm partial to the eheim jagers. They can be exposed to the air while plugged in, & won't explode. Mine are always left pluged in when doing WCs and they sometimes get completely exposed to the air with no issues.

They have a higher failure rate, i would disagree
Plus i doubt he's running a pump or canister for one in a 20 gallon

I have been using a Fluval M100 since I set up my 20long in May. It's rated for 30 gallons.
I run my filter (Fluval C3) and the heater on the short side of the tank, as opposed to the back, so the filter pushes water long ways. It doesn't take away all the 'clutter' but keeps the back wall nice and clean. There's nothing that I don't like about it. I like the reflective finish..blue light..adjustable settings. Very consistent temps from what I've seen. No difference in temps from one side to the other. Measured with Traceable therm. I've seen it for about $20 everywhere. PetSmart/Co, local stores, and Amazon. |
