Looking for new canister filter

Hey I am looking to buy a new canister filter I want one that makes my water crystal clear and also quiet and an upgrade from my quietflow 30 please respond with suggestions

Pretty much almost all name brand canister filters "rated" for the size of your tank and fine filter materials will fit the needs you are looking for. Of course the top brand names are eheim and fluval and rena.

Aquatop and Sunsun are up and comers with some great products. They are essentially the same brand. Some of the plumbing parts aren't so good, but the filter assemblies are built to last.

SUNSUN HW-304B 5-STAGE AQUARIUM EXTERNAL CANISTER FILTER w/9W UV STERILIZER 525G

This is not a bad filter. The rating is for something much larger than what is sounds like you are looking for, but I think that you can not really have too much filtration. And with the capacity of this filter you can easily keep it if you upgrade your tank. The other thing is that for $89 on ebay, even if the filter isn't good at its rated tank size of 175g, you know it will easily handle the bio load on a tank half that size.

Sunsun filters can fail in spectacular ways. They are cheap for a reason. I won't ever buy another

I imagine thats about any filter

Eheim are great filters with a long heritage, the Aquatop and also the Sunsun are cheaper and you will notice little things where costs are cut, but they are also great filters and many people here have used many of them with no issues.

im looking at a fluval 305 right now does anyone have this or know about it and tell me if its good or bad
