12 oz co2 paint ball tank only lasted 2 days?
Would a 12oz paintball canister co2 tank really only last 2-3 days? 8hrs a day on then unplugged. I know its empty because the solenoid valve reads no pressure.
I am thinking Dicks sporting goods did not fill it all the way. I guess this is the dark side of getting refills at the sporting goods store. In fact prior to this fill up I had problems at 2 sporting goods store where either they were having an issue or did not know how to fill the tank. |

I dunno maybe, how would I tell? I do have to say the JBJ bubble counter has a very tiny nipple for attaching the tubing does not seem very well designed or unless I am missing some sort of additional attachment. I should take a pic.

Run soapy water over all the connections. If bubbles start forming then you've found a leak.

Gotcha thanks! Will refill tank and try again. Could there be an issue with the distance I am running the Co2? I noticed tonight that since the Co2 has been empty that the diffuser and some of the line had water in it.

i've had issues with two different Sports Authority stores when it came to filling my paintball co2 tank. i went to two different shops, and neither could fill the tank for one reason or another. my tank was fine, and the o-ring on it was brand new.

If you are concerned that you aren't getting your money's worth, and have access to a scale that reads ounces, checking it is easy enough. Just weigh the completely empty tank, get it filled, weigh it again. The tank should be 12 oz heavier.

Well it turns out there is a leak, coming from where the jbj bubble counter attaches to the aquatek co2 regulator. I am thinking maybe some teflon tape here would fix this?

Yeah it is and thanks! I went ahead and did that and now no leak.
Although I still think Dicks did not fill the tank the whole way because this refill felt noticeably heavier. I weighed it and it was full. The service rep gave it to me for free as well which is nice! |
