The all to familiar "what am I?" thread


Myself and ghe member who gave me this lowly stem are both wondering what it is. It seems to grow like bamboo.

There is a slight orange sheen to the leaves.

Looks like hygroryza aristata when it's planted.

Those corn things only grow when they are floating. I'm pretty sure it is hygroryza aristata. Look at the side roots.

I have hygroyza aristata, this is much smaller, and a different leaf shape.

That is under-developed H. aristata. It came out of my tank. It was growing under the hulking specimens of the same species.


Looks okay planted. I have never planted it, may have to try.

I had it planted long time ago, that's how I knew what it looked like. Beautiful plant indeed! I like how it stands out from all the other plants.
