It'll work really well.

It's typically referred to as a "Half 29" (even though it's really half of a 20L). You can pick them up from Glass Cages and occasionally at pet stores that cater to the reefing community.

You may want to check the joints and resilicone if needed. I bought a 20L reptile tank new and I had to resilicone to keep from leaking. No biggie. But since it was never meant to hold water, I had to make sure it now would.

If I dont just turn around and resell it I definitely will leak test although silicone looks perfect.

You can build one any dimensions you like and it cost 4 times less than buying one retail or custom.

So how much can this thing hold? Because it sure looks like it can hold more than 20-gallons.
