Mini tank/cube for a betta?
Hey everyone, checking back in after a long break. I am almost ready to kick back into the hobby. From my livestock that survived sandy, I have one lonely betta left
Cheers, frroK

I think it's worth checking the stores in brooklyn. I believe Kings (check "the lfs directory" for the address) or one of the neighboring stores have acrylic cubes in the 2-4g range.
Petland on Nassau carries Deep Blue tanks that are approx 2g in a few different dimensions. |

If you want a legit cube, we saw them during the LI fish hops..ugh I forget the names of them - the one store with that duck in the pond when you walk in, and the one with the cheap supplies. They have 8x8x8, 10x10x10 and 12 as well. Rimless. Maybe like $15 ish- cheaper at the duck pond place.

Hey Frrrok
I live in Chelsea near the flower market. Walking by last week, there was a shop that specialized in vases. There were a number of larger ones that are definitely around 2-3 gallons in size. Multiple sizes and shapes (cylinders, cubes etc). I thin kthey'll charge around $20-40 for each. Thick and quality - I use them for my own tanks. |

I have a betta cube, think it's 10" - I calculated it to be around 3 gallons. It's plastic, looks like it's this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tetra-LED-...-Pets/20693135
Yours if you want it. I moved the betta to different quarters. |

Just took the dog for a walk to Petland discounts at 23rd & 8th. The Deep Blue 2.3 gallon is on sale for $24.99.

Make the betta happy and keep him in the 10gal. Imagine living in a apartment and you get downsized to a room and you have to cook, eat, sleep, and use the washroom in that same room. I hate seeing betta's in anything less than a 5.5gal

Would love to, but I actually think he'll be happier by himself in something smaller. I've tested this hypothesis before when I had to temporarily house him in bowl. And if I find a cheap 5 gallon, I wouldn't be opposed to that either.

Country Critters. Though it's a bit far. Just go to the shops on 8th Ave in Brooklyn if you want a cube.
