Flourite, Plantex CSM, live food in Toronto?
- Does anybody knows if Fluorite substrate is available in Canada, Toronto particularly?
- Also, live food for small fishes (tetras), like black worms, glassworms, bloodworms, daphnia, drosophyla, I couldn't find any. Is it not used anymore at all? - Fertilizers: Plantex CSM seems to be produced in Ontario (source: thekrib site), who sells it in Canada? Or other complex fertilizers - I found Fluorish only. |

As for dry fertilizers, visit any Homegrown hydroponics store (http://www.hydroponics.com/info/aqua...singDrops.html). They all carry reasonably priced tubs of trace mix, as well as macros. |

You can get blackworms from Wong's Aquarium at bayview and gerrard, not too far away from Menagerie actually. There's also some live foods available at www.canadianfeeders.com.
Some big al's will pricematch on flourite which is cheapest at mops.ca. |

I was at Wong's Aquarium last weekend, asked them about live food - they don't have it, dried food only. But I bought worm feeder. Quite tropical jungle atmosphere there...

Checked Menagerie - they also don't have alive food. Did I missed something - it's the second time when I'd asked for live food, answered "Yes, we have" and afterward shown dead dried food. "Alive" as more proper term?

I'd suggest checking back at Wong's sometime, I have bought blackworm's from them a few times so it may have been an off time. That being said Big Al's in sauga has blackworms on a VERY occasional basis. Daphnia is available from Ward's scientific but you pay a hefty price. Finally I'd suggest joining pricenetwork.ca and asking around.

Thanks, I will, it's fairly close to me. As was suggested, canadianfeeders have some worms and starter cultures, they are in Ontario.
