Suggestions Needed for 20L
I'm setting up a 20 gallon long planted tank. I'm hoping to get some suggestions on the light. I'm not planning to have CO2 and the substrate will be mostly fluval stratum with some old ADA that. Right now the tank is lighted with 2 24" sunblaster light and reflector. I interested in upgrading the light to the Zoo Med AquaSun T5-HO Double Light Linear Fluorescent Hood, 30-Inch.
Should I switch or should I keep keep the sunblaster? thanks |

If you switch lights i think you will need co2 or you will end up with an algae farm.

Planted Tank Obsessed

A T5HO fixture on a 20 long will produce a lot of light. You will likely need pressurized Co2 and a set fert schedule to avoid algae problems. A T5NO fixture would be a better choice. Or you could look into LEDs.

Ya thats what worried me as I do not want to deal with algae.
And I think I might look into getting LED instead. Do you think 24" 25.95W 108x0.24w will be good? |
