I find it's always best to put berried shrimp in a breeder box so she can hatch her young. Then let the babies get large enough in the breeder box that they won't be eaten before releasing them into the tank. A bit of a hassle but worth it for these great fish.

the problem is 13 out of 14 of my shrimp are VERY VERY berried! Not to mention another 9-14 babies in there now (where they came from who knows). My tank is heavily planted and while i love my shrimps, i wanted some fish too ... what i'm going to do with all these shrimp is besides me!

hmm... i don't know anything about breeder boxes and in a 6 gallon tank i can't add one to the tank, it's too small.. and with 3 other 2 gallon tanks my husband will kill me if i add another tank!

I don't find that the boraras predate on shrimp, I keep them with my malawa and my cherries. Of course, any fish that can will try to.

Also, I don't think anyone wants me to have these fish more than me. I have been working my tail off to try and get the fish that people want. I spend on average $2000 a WEEK trying to get fish, and unfortunately, it is just not paying off. My money is basically gone, and I am not getting the orders that I need to continue. Hopefully something gives soon, or it doesn't look good for me to be able to order for quite some time.

My Peru is delayed, AGAIN. I was depending on it being here a month ago- both to make money for restock, but also for my bills and my kids' Christmas. The constant delays of that order, the inability to source my "bread and butter" fish, and the hurricane have hurt my business to a critical point.

B. merah really are as great as briggitae. Great fish.

laqu: Search the forum for external breeder boxes. They'll fit on nearly any tank.

OMG i killed 2 baby nerites! my betta has a gray thing going on (no idea, dumb fish is ALWAYS sick) and i threw some paraguard in there without tanking the babies out! I am sooo sorry... I hate to kill stuff on people... the other's are happy and munching away... (of course not on the glass as the rocks and stones are more fun to clean) but they are cute so it's okay.

nothing new, I have a ton of uropthalmoides and naevus. I am holding off on trying again with chilis until I sell some of those as that is a lot of tank space to boraras alone. I will likely attempt to get them again in a week or two.
