Having trouble with a Fluval 105
I recently got a really good deal on a Fluval 105, and decided to add it to my 20 long, in addition to 2 x Aqueon Quiet Flow 10. However, since I set it up about a month ago, I noticed that it will have really good flow for a day or two, then slow down to trickle. Unplugging and plugging back in will start the filter up again at a stronger flow. I have a sponge over the intake, so I'm pretty sure nothing should be blocked, and I've tried pumping the priming lever to see if maybe I didn't get the canister completely full. I'm stumped. Anyone else have this problem?

The sponge is clogged. Take it off and see what happens.

I was about to write something snarky along the lines of "I think I would know if my sponge was clogged." But decided to check it anyways. You were right. It looks clean, but taking it off made a HUGE difference. Excuse me while I go hang my head in shame
