LI on Saturday, Jan 12th

I am making a trip out to Franks Aquarium on the morning of Saturday, Jan 12th - I am aiming to be there at 10AM. I would probably hit a couple of other stores in the area as well on the way back.

If anyone is interested in a mini LI LFS tour, let me know. I can pick up people at convenient places along the way or at an MTA station (I am in Yonkers, NY).

I also have an extra pair of 12" SS forceps that are a little too stiff for my liking, so they are available to a TPT member that day if they can use them.

**Looks like I will also be making a stop in Brooklyn on the way back - if that helps anyone**

I was thinking of contacting Frank and getting over there myself. I want to see what he has, I know one of his orders didn't make it in. Where in Brooklyn are you going, that's where I'm coming from.

In the vicinity of 8th Ave and 60th Street - although I probably wouldn't make it that far west to start the trip off - just on the return.

That's ok I drive and I was just being nosy

, there are lots of lfs in that area. One place on 65th near 8th Royal Aqua, nice plants, fish too but I go there for the plants.

I wanted to get out there now I have to get my daughter over to see a wedding venue at 12:30pm. Hopefully she wants to make a pitstop at Franks,hehe

I'm going for a small lfs tour on Friday. Not sure if I should do LI or NJ. That store in Ridgewood NJ sounds really nice.

Last call - I will be in the Bronx at 8:45ish AM - then down to Franks - with a tour of some of the shops on Western LI, then to Brooklyn before Fishtown, up to the Bronx and then back to Yonkers.

I was in the Ridgewood store this past weekend....awesome place! I had been there back when they first opened. They have more stuff now. It's a small store, but definitely worth it for the plants. Don't go there expecting much livestock. They do have some shrimp and pygmy cories though. But this place is definitely one of my go to spots for plants. Great variety, very good prices.

The other good thing about heading to this store is it is not far from some of the others. You can easily hit up several stores in one trip. If you were doing this on a weekend, I might have been able to give you guys a tour. Sundays are especially nice because blue laws are in effect in Bergen County, so there is hardly any traffic.

Couldn't make it today but I went to Patrice and brought him my bolivian ram, he has super tanks, gorgeous bengal cats and a lovely family. So it was worth missing out on NJ. Got to call Frank and ask if he'll be around tomorrow so I can stop by after going with my daughter to Haupauge,hope he's around in the afternoon.
