They seems to have a huge selection of natural stones available for purchase. If you've been there, let me know if you found anything good.

Here's a link to their site. http://www.rssy.com/stone.php

This looks awesome! I'm down in Richmond and I'm looking for some stone.

I was there, last weekend, to check out their concrete sand, which is basically coarse sand. You drive up to the piles of sand, gravel and stones; fill your vehicle with what you want; and on your way out, your vehicle and products are weighed, and you pay for what you buy by weight.

The "concrete sand" that they have is nice dark tan/brown color, but extremely dusty. You will have to sift it to separate coarser grains from fine dusty grains of sand, and wash it a lot.

I did not have the facility nor energy to go through a ton of sand just to get a couple of hundred pounds of large grain coarse sand. So I ended up not buying it. I did however buy a couple of rocks from them, which I used for my 220 gallon planted tank.

More photos are in my journal here.

went to didn't want to

This is in lorton, va? This looks identical to the luckstone lot in goochland. I went to the luckstone lot in search of rocks like the big one in your 220 and came back empty handed. Did they have more like what you picked up?

Yes, this is in Lorton and they had plenty of these. They charged $0.20/lb.

Part of the reason I came back empty handed was because I was limited to the misc. reject pile of rocks lol. This the same for the other lot?

They wanted me to pick from a "reject pile" too, but I told the manager that I only needed one large rock from the pile I like. He agreed.
