Default marsilea minuta vs. quadrifolia?

I have discovered that the only thing that survives in my tank is anubias. I have a bunch of anubias nana petite and while it has reverted to regular size anubias nana, it at least looks healthy and actually grows.

I also have marsilea minuta which doesn't die but does not grow. Not even slowly. It really doesn't grow. I've had it for about a year. No growth.

Do you think I'd have better luck with marislea quadrifolia? I thought it was illegal in my state but now I can't seem to find anything that says it's illegal here and I'm seeing it for sale in pet stores now. I wonder if it's changed status or something. Or I'm just going crazy. But is it any easier to grow than minuta?

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
