Identify this disease?

Hello;

A friend of my has a aquarium filled with blood parrot fish and silver dollars. All of the silver dollars and some of the parrot fish have ich spots. So I want to ask does anyone know of a brand that know that works well. I used Aqquarium Munster white spot treatment once and it didn't help.

The other problem is that two of the parrot fish have ulcers and a strange white lump beside their eyes. Do you what this is and how to treat it?

Update: Used Seachem Paraguard for two days and the ich are gone.

If you could, mind telling me how big of a tank and the exact stock list? Either way, I've kept parrots and silver dollars for years, so I can give some advice.

First, with the ick, do the heat and salt method. Raise the temp slowly up to 85, and then add the appropriate amount of aquarium salt to the tank. The heat speeds up the life cycle of the ick, the salt kills it in its juvenile stage, along with the heat. Keep this up for at least 3 days until after the last spots of ick have gone.

Now, at the same time as this, I would also tell your friend to do as many water changes as he can. Clean water is essential for the cichlids to heal various ailments that they can often have. I've never had any success with any chemicals or anything, and the only meds I have ever used were for bacterial things. Warmer waters, a good amount of aquarium salt, and clean water will help everyone heal up and get back to speed in no time

Look up Lymphocystis for that growth. Not the only possibility, of course.

Heat and salt work for Ich. Aquarium salt is OK, but any form of NaCl is OK, as long as there are not any additives.

The tank is 330 liter (87 us gallon) the tank consists of 9 parrots, 8 silver dollars, 2 of the silver fish shown below, 2 of the black fish with the red tail shown below, 5 apple snails and 3 pleco.

Informed him of the salt and heat method but he decided to go with chemical Seachem Paraguard. He doesn't have time he says.

A few things
1. his tank is overstocked to hell, he shouldn't have that many fish if he "doesn't have time"
2. he still needs to keep up on the water changes, especially with a stock that heavy. He needs massive filtration and at least bi-weekly 50% water changes to keep all of that healthy
3. the heat and salt method is super easy and super not time consuming. tell him to look it up because those medications rarely work.

the white lump is infection from hole in the head disease, need Metronidazole base medicine to treat.

+1 for hole in the head disease and for that cure....
i was gone for a week in the hospital and one of my under cure fish not make it ...RIP
