I once had a 7.5gal cube tank that was empty of babies until I pulled out 31 of them. Drained it to 3" of water and still didn't see any babies in it. Week later filled it and out comes 31 babies from it. They can be deceiving. They may be in there unless you have in a 1gal glass vase with no substrate and no moss, don't discount babies.

when my TB dropped her eggs I thought for sure none had survived and this was in a breeder box not a larger tank. When I finally did spot one it was down hiding inside the gravel..yep way down into the substrate and very hard to see as it was black/blue in color.

Im sure you have babies in there, but they will stay hidden for about 2 weeks until they feel comfortable to venture out. Make sure you have enough biofilm/algae for them to eat otherwise they will die.

Lots of people scrape off algae off the glass of their tanks because it looks unsightly, I however do not I leave it on all 3 sides so that my babies have a place to eat without having to crawl all over the tank (wasting energy) looking for something.

I have also taken to leaving a piece of dirty filter floss (can be in a net bag) in the tank to help the babies have a buffet breaky.

Good luck hope to see pics when one shows up.

If the eggs disappeared on 28th day or close, most likely the babies did come out. I find that whether you see the babies right after they are born depends on the mother shrimp. I observed that one particular female CBS's babies are always in the open right after birth, and another female CBS would always give birth where babies can't be seen.
