Iwagumi Rock

Hey guys

I was looking into an iwagumi setups and had some concern about the rocks selection. After reading reports of rocks raising Ph I figured I'd ask the experts two seemingly simple questions.

Are there rocks which don't affect ph and also, are there rocks which lower ph? I'd rather lower ph or keep it neutral seeing as my ph is already quite high.

lots of rock wont affect ph levels, but No rock will lower the ph. quarts and granite are two forms of rock that wont affect the water.

Please excuse the following but can you name names? For instance "Dragonstone" etc etc

PH is 7.5-8 and I keep apistos

Petrified wood, Pagoda stone, Manten Stone,Yamaya Stone,DragonStone,BlueStone,and Lava rock are ok to use

Ones that may raise ph levels are Seiryu and Ryuoh Stones.

Well manteen stone does raise the ph, but it's negligible as it is with lots of stones specially if you you are doing large weekly water changes

If you already have high ph water (i also am in the 7-8 range) tht means you probably have very hard water and its very difficult to change the ph with hard water. So youd probably be fine with something like sieryu stone
