Such low prices for refill or exchanges. Here in Canada, I paid 23 dollars for my 5lbs. Only have to do it once a year but still.

I pay about 20 bucks at Airgas when I can't get it refilled at work in the fire barn.

it is not the cost that irritate me the most, it is the look when I get the co2 swap. I have to explain every time the co2 is for fish tank.
glad that the guys at the closest swap station know I have a large planted tank at home, but they have to charge $28($32 final cost) for a 5LB. well, time to make new friends at a cheaper co2 refilling station.

$18 aluminum swap here in SLC - but then again I am not going to worry about a couple bucks when every tank I get is safe and don't have to worry about testing.

I have found that once you actually have the tank (certified), you can go to a paintball or other sports store and have it filled more a much cheaper price than swapping it at welding suppliers or similar places. Swapping a 5lb tank at my local Airgas costs $22, but I can bring it to Scheels and have it filled for $8.

A lot of the paintball 'filling stations' don't have sufficient pressure to fully fill a industrial cylinder; in some cases only filling 2/3 or less. You can check if you are getting complete refills. If you weigh your empty cylinder before your next refill and again when you get home; a 5# cylinder should weigh 5 pounds more full than it did empty.
