Yeah, I'm curious to see what you end up with. Just mixing various grades of CBS in my main tank and not culling has resulted in a mass shift toward almost a wild type bee.

I think it's going to take a very long time...probably at least 6 months before I see anything. Many of the new shrimp that I just purchased for this mix tank are still juveniles.

Been mixing all sorts of shrimp in my Fluval Ebi since I first set it up in July.

Have tigers, crystals, chocolates, blueberries, Blue Bees, blue pearls and Malawis in it. Could be more... Lol

dk has a pic where she mixed i think a few tiger and crs and they tended to stay away from each other they segregated them selves lol. not sure if they ever crossed but was a funny pic. its prob some where in her mad doings post

Just received my crystal white bees from Nick. I'll take more pics later on once I get home. All 3 shrimp + surprise shrimp arrived well.

Just dropped the crystal whites in my tank 2 minutes ago and snapped some quick photos.

Now you can't add any shrimp the the tank for about 5 years after you put your tigers in, to let it completely homogenize itself gene wise and see what the offspring are. lol.

It was a golden with headgear....it's one of those shrimp that has a face on it.

haha...by then I'll be in and out of the shrimp hobby 6 times.

Crystal Whites are new to me! (Where have I been?!) They're very nice! Do they transparent parts stay that way?

I agree that, like guppy breeding, the fun in shrimp breeding is "throwing [whoopsie] at the wall to see what sticks". I'm sure that the pro breeders are already isolating gene contribution matrices and stuff, but I'm just happy if I throw fish food in the top and see a bunch of crazy patterned life tryin' to get at it.

I just added some tigers in to my 10g shrimparium. Very interesting to watch them interact with the (various low grade) CBS/CRS in there, my biggest male immediately swarmed over to a female and chased her down into the moss, she's berried now. The others have been kind of territorial, tigers with tigers/cbs with cbs. The neos in that tank (Rilis) could care less about either of them. Hopefully I'll get something interesting looking!
