amphirion's 45F project ( 1/1/2013 hardscape finalized )

Hi All,
Today I am going to attempt to (faithfully) document a project that I am working on. I will be tearing down my goby tank and creating what I hope will end up being a decent aquarium layout in its place. my hope here is to create a tank that possesses aesthetic perspectives from all sides (save the back). if all goes well, i plan to add a school of CPDs. possible plants to use in this tank will be hygrophila pinnatifida, utricularia graminifolia and mini bolbitis (which i believe to be bolbitis heteroclita difformis)

I was able to acquire some Seiryu stones earlier last week, and they arrived in the mail yesterday. pretty stoked... after fidgeting for a couple of hours, I finally got a potential hardscape to work with.

the darker rock in the back will not be used for the scape. it is meant only to hold the back of the scape up--aquatic soil and smaller rocks will be utilized to prop up the rocks in the real tank. hopefully getting manzanita branches in the mail today. will update when i do.

thanks GMYukonon24s!

sometimes things dont work out the way how you want them too...
when i received my manzanita sticks, i realized that there was no way i could fit all of it's awesomeness in such a small enclosure, and so i chose to tear down my 45F and use that one instead...

im thinking about getting a bigger light. a lot of the left side detail (terraced) is obscured in the shadows...

i seem to have a strong preference for sloped scapes. as you can see, this one is not only sloped from right to left, but is also from back to front. rather than following suite with the manzanita, i decided to do a centered, radiating formation instead. things should start to look interesting once when plants grow in--it could be possible that the manzantia's radiating effect will be dramatically tempered by plants used, especially on the highest side.

current details:
+ ADA 45F
+ Archaea 27W power compact light fixture w/ clamp
+ seiryu stone
+ aquasoil
+ horticultural grade sand
+ manzanita branches

thanks for taking a look. critiques and comments are appreciated!
