Can't get drop checker water blue
I'm using 4 dkh water and api ph drops, but the water will only turn green, even adding way more than the recommended five drops.
What am I missing here? |

Which range ph test are you using? Are you certain the 4dkh solution you have is accurate?

The water measured 4 on two different test solutions and I'm using the regular (not high) range ph drops.... 6.2-7.6 I think. I tried two different solutions of that too.

I just checked the ph test with tap water and it turned blue, so I think that's working....I'm really stumped.

I would suspect something is wrong with your 4 dkH reference solution.

I tried putting the 4 dkh solution directly into the drop checker from its container rather than using a syringe. This time it turned, if not dead blue, pretty close to it. I still have no idea what's going on but I'll take it. The syringe has only been used for ferts and Prime as far as I remember.
