South Shore Tropicals
Hey guys this is one of my first posts and I have to say that this site has been
extremely helpful in my quest for information. If it's ok I just wanted to point out a pet store in Lindenhurst, Long Island. I was at first a customer and now an employee and I just wanted to get the word out because it's a pretty nice store in my opinion and we have a nice fish and plant selection. We usually get our plant shipment in on wednesday and have no problem with requests, we also go to the fish wholesaler on monday and can take requests on any fish wanted. All Im asking is if you get a chance stop in, I can almost guarantee you won't be dissapointed |

Its a small shop, actually saw it while running around a week or so ago.
If I remember correctly he had a larger one in Copiague. Usually parrots and baby lizards up front under lights which is pretty neat, same setup. Regarding tanks, about 30? total fresh with a diverse collection of fish, mainly common fish but a few uncommon. The last time I went in there they had some awesome discus which were already reserved, lovely colors. A small collection of Africans as well, I think salt tanks were running as well? Worth a stop to see either way, as there aren't many fish stores left on the island. Petswarehouse isn't far away, and neither is Franksaquarium! Cork, I would suggest you provide the address. The next time everyone runs around the island they will stop in. -Gordon

I went there for the first time just before Christmas. Nice store. I picked up a couple plants and had to resist getting some fish (no tank space at the moment). I'll definitely be back.

Awesome. Gotta check out new store. I think we're all looking for chili rasbora and hastatus lol. I probably would buy like 50 of the chilis myself.

Oh, nice. Copiague wasn't too bad driving-wise, either. I could totally be persuaded to go back there. I'm pretty sure the Corridor Of Near Death was Carle Place, anyway.
Plant pics plz? |
