How to replace priming assembly?

I have a fluval 206 that I got gently used. It's working great. When I got it the handle on the primer was gone and I had to use pliers to prime it. I would like to replace it so I don't have to use pliers anymore, for those times when I need to use the primer.

I just had a quick look at it but it isn't clear to me how to do it. Being not so handy doesn't help.

Note: This is the newer assembly, not just the rod and suction cup.

Is something like this what you're looking for?

Yup, that's what it is. Now how do you get that installed?
