Inline co2 on the main, or secondary filter?

Hi guys,

I am keen to get my co2 reactor set up, and have by chance aquired a little eheim filter, to complement my main fluval 405.

I am thinking of installing the reactor on the eheim, just incase I have unexpected problems, (which I often do!)

Perhaps I can take the media out, and just run it as a standalone 'Co2 pump', if that makes sense.

Should I run the dedicated line, or stick it inline with the main filter?

Any advice would be appriciated.
