Best root tabs for Eco-Complete

Just like the title says

I know there are a lot of people using non-aquarium product like osmocote (and others who warn of big problems latter on with that method), purpose made products like API and Seachem, and home/custom made clay products with dry fert supplies.

My tanks seem pretty green (both low tech, see sig), but I can't seem to grow Amazon Swords and Val like 'grasses', lots of see through leaves.

i have had good luck with flourish root tabs and eco complete.

I use the root tabs from aquariumplants.com and they seem fine. But what I really like is their applicator tool - you stick it in the substrate and push to have the tab ejected out the bottom. It solves the problem of putting root tabs down without breaking them up, squashing them with tweezers, having them come loose, or disturbing the plants!
