regular tiger with orange eyes?

Or do my eyes deceive me? Is this just a random occurrence? I always thought that only the black or blue tigers have orange eyes. I am a shrimp noobie so just wanted to check if what I bought was a good purchase ($1.50 locally).

Is this something that happens often?

its probbably a cull from some ones orange eye blue tigers. oebt do give "blond" shrimp that look like normal tigers but with the orange eyes. and at $1.50 i would grab a bunch more cause chances are you will get some blue ones out of the babies they have together

They could have been crossed, I know some wild bee variants have red/orange eyes and that looks to be what this is. It would also explain the lower cost.

Yeah I bought them all out...of the 4 they had haha. Unfortunately 2 of them died. But I took everything. It was a sale, 2 a piece or 4 for 6. so I took all 4. I asked the store when the next shipment would be and they said 4 weeks, which I can't wait for since I will be headed up to school in a while.

That is interesting. So essentially this tiger is a carrier for the OEBT line?

Nope not one bit. It's strange I thought they would but I got these minnows from a guy here who keeps them with shrimp. I picked them up for 20 dollars for 50 fish. All of them keep quite well with my shrimps. No fish induced casualties yet.

Orange Eyes...maybe blonde OEBT.

Blue tints however have been noted to be found in the regular tiger shrimp population. Might as well mix them and see what you get.
