Just been crazy busy lately.

CRS has gotten a bit boring now so thinking about trying to breed some specialty discus again. Will see what happens. It's not up to me. Fish will do whatever they want to do.

I still have plenty of berried CRS. Just hand picked out a few last night for a customer who wanted berried female.

My setup is nothing like yours.. just a tank here and there. Hoping to get the PRL population over 100 soon so I can start culling. I see some white legs that I really like. Problem is the tank is behind another tank.

did you try playing some barry white music for the shrimp? maybe some al green? they like nice soft, romantic music. it gets them in the mating mood....LOL

ok, so i picked up a drilled 40B today for $40. it's going to be a shrimp tank, that much is definite. question i propose to you guys is this, should i go sump (was thinking a 10g algae sump) or custom undergravel connected to a canister? any thoughts guys/gals?

i think i'm gonna use egg crate to create the baffles. it will have more surface area for algae to grow.

Now if you are going to go shrimp tank on the 40b, why bother with a sump? I am a true believer of sponge filters for shrimp tank. Anything else is just more work and not necessary.

Did you sell all your female?

I can only speak about CRS and they bred all year around for me.

because it's going to be a planted shrimp tank. and sponge filters are big and ugly. the sponge filters are for my soon to be breeding tanks i'm thinking about breeding some kind of fish. maybe endler's, maybe guppies. if i could get the rainbows i had before, i would love to breed those. who knows, i may just end up culturing bubonic plague or something in those tanks. just for fun of course...LOL

ok, sump is out. god help me, i bought an eheim 2213 for the tank. nobody had fluvals at a decent price. so i ended up with an eheim. somebody please tell me i did right??LOL

Hey Bill...i got a 62 gallon tank with a leak. I believe it's the same foot print as a 55 but taller. If ya wanna make another frog tank lemme know and I'll sell it to ya for $45. Otherwise ill silicon it and hopefully sell it on craigslist.
