So are you going to sell the 26g? What's your budget on a new tank? Marine Depot has a Mr. Aqua 33.6g rimless... Now that would be an upgrade!

I am expecting: $70-$80 for the new tank(not sure the size) $100 for a new stand $100 for a finnex fugeray $100 for a new filter to upgrade from my fluval 206(depending on how big the new tank will be, thats kind of why i wanted a 30, to keep my same filter) But hopefully I can make back $100-$150 selling the 26g and stand in good condition. But this scenario is so far off its not even funny. Got anymore suggestions for tank sizes? I like 38g dimensions Last edited by mitchfish9; 12-27-2012 at 04:41 PM.. Reason: wording |

Yes lemon tetra's are nice as well. Have you considered male endlers?

Never considered endlers. Its probably because I have seen some livebearers in community tanks and I have never liked their attitudes. Tetras always seem to be peaceful.

My 2¢ -- I really like my 38 gal.
Have you looking into PetCo's $1/gal tank sale? I'm not sure if it's still on.

I agree. The guppies just seemed to be humping all of the time. My favorite now is the pristellia tetra from Petco. They swim together.

Pristellas are great! Very underrated tetra. Mine are the gold variety which I do not like nearly as much. That is why i am trying something new

My 38 gal is from PetCo, but I bought it before the $1/gal sale. I'm not sure whether they are included. I had a 55 gal in the past and was frustrated by the lack of depth. It felt out of proportion with the length. If you're going that big, I'd go ahead and get a 75 gal. I'm not sure if that's included in the sale. I hope you love whatever tank you choose.

I agree 55's are some of the most annoying dimensions. Looks terrible looking at it from the side because it is so skinny and too tall. I saw a thread complaining about 29's, but 55's are the same width and even taller. Looks out of proportion. 75's on the other hand, are very nice.

Just have to say I really love your tank. I have the same tank but it doesn't look as nice.

I will finish up rescaping the tank this week to open up the front of the tank more. Hopefully it will look a lot better, and I have been cramping my fish a little too much will all the plants as they come all the way up to the front glass, lol. I will get pics up this week! |
