Cyanoacrylate based super glue is safe, it will even cure underwater. I have always felt that it was better to cure partially before submersing, mentally I felt it seemed to hold better.
Lots of saltwater enthusiasts use it to adhere very sensitive corals, even curing underwater. Handy stuff! |

dude, seriously, the best stuff i have used was the dollar store brand. i live by it. and really, at a buck for 3 tubes, you can't beat it. i use it in my tanks, my vivs, for cuts, when my wife won't shut up, ect. it makes an awesome band aid (the reason it was invented) for smaller cuts. works great on large cuts too, if you can handle the burning....LOL

Loctite Duro Quick Gel has been recommended in the saltwater community, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot should have it.
I personally have used whatever was on hand without issue... however, if you are doing the "squeeze" underwater, gel is almost a must unless you want a mess. I like the Hobbytown USA store brand stuff in "extra thick" formula. |

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll likely just do 4 or 5 pieces of anubias at a time with the super glue out of the water. If it dries quickly enough then it shouldn't be a problem doing it outside the tank. Dollar store super glue, here I come.

Got Loctite, brush on super glue. It was the only thing walmart had in stock so I grabbed it. I'm sure it will be fine...just gonna need to brush on a good amount.

Joon,
If you are selling that equipment, it would be perfect timing for me. I'm getting situated to build out a fish room and am ready to pull the trigger on three racks worth of 10g tanks. Please let me know! |
