is it a good aquarium?

i been thinking about setting up a saltwater aquarium
and it looks good for a saltwater tank

I've kept several SWT's and found rectangles best. For starters a simple 55gal may be your best bet.The cube is certainly a good aquarium but a horizontal viewing size fits the nature of salt water fish/invertebrates best. The vertical works great for Angels if you want to try that salt water "gorgeous" fish, though.

For what you get in them they are actually pretty nice set ups. The only down side to these kits is that if your filter goes out or your light fixture breaks you can't just go to the pet store and get a new fixture or filter you have to special order it or get it online. Other than that it's a great tank for salt of fresh reef or planted! Best of luck

I have 2 biocubes, and I love them. I have a JBJ 12 gal. original cube, and a Sera 60 biotop cube. I like them because of their size, and are easy to fix if something breaks down. Even if it's the lighting system breaking down on me there an easy fix for it.

"End Cap & Ballast Retrofit Kit, Single T4 PL/PC 18w-55w" and you'll see why it's easy tp replace the lighting without having to reorder major parts.

I have been using a 29 for saltwater for 13 months and it is the only way to go. You can easily add two bio options: protein skimmer and UV. DO NOT use the stand they Oceanic sells for the Bio 29. It is a accident and mess waiting to happen. Super cheap construction. I strongly recommend a substantial stand. - the acquarion will top out about 200 pounds. The water and air pump are the almost silent.

I have the 29 & the 8. I love them both & they look great anywhere in the house! Only thing I don't like about them are the pumps but those were easily replaced

The biocube 29 for 150$? Dude you better buy that!!!!! You can turn around and sell that for profit, but I'd keep it and use it. Great find!

biocube 29gal was 149.99 at petsmart all year long
they are clearance but still there and i still didnt buy it
i once saw its stand for 74.99 at petsmart as well
but... i m not 100% ready for saltwater... still have fun with little shrimps

Its an amazing tank. If its still there, snag that tank up, you can use it for fresh or salt. The petsmarts around here sold out of their biocubs a long time ago, and I still kick my self for not picking up one when I had the chance.
